In 1957 Alan Bloom and his colleagues formed the Hardy Plant Society in an attempt to reduce the loss of hardy perennials to gardeners. This is still as much a concern today, as the choice of plants at large Garden Centres becomes less.
This leaves smaller nurseries & gardeners with the responsibility of keeping these lesser known plants from disappearing.
Today around 10,000 members worldwide enjoy a wide range of activities for the enthusiastic gardener.
